The overall objective of the work in the LowExNet is to promote a more rational and effective use of energy; namely, the utilization of low valued and renewable energy sources.

Our work, which is based on the use of the central concept of exergy, is not only focused on the best possible and economical use of energy, but also on the application of the exergy concept for solving various issues in order to come up with a better environment for human well-being.

These goals shall be reached by providing knowledge on and tools for exergy analyses, which are to be applied in the built environment.
