LOWEX NEWS No. 8 - The last issue of LowEx News will be published in December 2003. It will include description of the results of Annex 37 work and it will also present the Lowex Design Guidebook.

LOWEX NEWS No. 7 - The 7th issue of LowEx News contains descriptions of existing system concepts and a design strategy. The design strategy is written for designers that need guidelines for designing low-exergy systems for buildings. Three system concepts are presented: Are Sensus, Thermonet system concept for grocery stores and a Japanese example of how radiant cooling exergy can be used for cooling of buildings.

LOWEX NEWS No. 6 - This issue should actually be called LowExx news! The focus is on Low Exergy systems in the existing building stock. There are special issues to concern when we are talking about applying LowEx systems in existing buildings, these are reviewed in LowEx News no 6. A few examples are also presented, one example is a historical building with a cultural heritage, which means an even greater challenge.

LOWEX NEWS No. 5 - The basics of exergy analysis are described in LowEx News no 5 by giving an example of exergy analysis of a space heating system. The pre-design exergy-analysis tool developed by Annex 37 working group is also presented. An interesting relationship between human body exergy consumption and thermal comfort discovered by the Japanese members of Annex 37 working group is revealed in this issue.

LOWEX NEWS No. 4 - Some most typical lowex components are presented in this fourth issue of LowEx News. The presentation of lowex systems and components constitutes an important part of the LowEx Guidebook. This issue demonstrates the way the different technologies are presented. For every presented system a data sheet is given. The systems are sorted in main and sub groups. To improve the understanding of the different systems a small sketch and some main data are given.

LOWEX NEWS No. 3 - In this issue of LowEx News some of the demonstration buildings of Annex 37 are presented. These examples show how the wide variety of available low temperature heating and high temperature cooling techniques can be compiled as systems. The examples also demonstrate the flexibility of the systems with respect to the energy source.

LOWEX NEWS No. 2 - Second issue of LowEx News tries to make the Exergy concept a little easier-to-understand. An example of the exergy-entropy process is given by describing a calculation of exergy balance of a human body. To give the issue a practical dimension, occupants experiences in dwellings with Low Temperature Heating systems are described in one article.

LOWEX NEWS No. 1 - The first newsletter describes the plans for the Annex 37 work. The rationale behind our will to promote the Low Exergy Systems is given in an article about the impact of Low Temperature Heating systems on IAQ, thermal comfort and energy consumption.
